Welcome to my website. Here's some of what I'm currently up to --
On Christmas Day I got word via email that I'd sold a story called "Biter" to SCARED NAKED. Scheduled for June 2003, it's an erotic horror comedy about a girl with an unhealthy appetite, and was one of those stories I wrote for my own diversion, figuring I'd never find a market for it, let alone place it. And then one opened up...
So many things happen that way.
In June 2002, "Carla, Adangle" appeared in CRICKET. It's about trusting the unknown, when a little girl who falls into a well is helped by mysterious voices and tiny black specks.
My story "Moonlights", about an expedition to investigate mysterious lights seen on the Moon, appeared in the April/May issue of FUTURE ORBITS and elicited a few interesting reviews. They spanned the range between my favorite, "Ugh", to, well, see for yourself at the following links:

Lincoln was right about pleasing people.
My regular column Brother Butch's Rat Stew appears in BRUTARIAN QUARTERLY, along with reviews and the occasional short story. You can catch the show monthly on newsstands everywhere. Ask for it by name. An example is "Last Betrayal", from the Summer 2002 issue. It's a science fiction story about a couple that thrives on betrayal, and the odd way they find to renew their marriage and zest for life.
Among much else I'm currently reading Poodle Springs by Raymond Chandler and Robert B. Parker; The Hiram Key by Christopher Knight and Robert Lomnas; Manifold Origin by Stephen Baxter; and The Te of Piglet by Benjamin Hoff, having just finished a re-reading of The Tao of Pooh.
I'm listening to J. S. Bach as usual; CALIFORNICATION by Red Hot Chili Peppers; SHUT UP AND PLAY YOUR GUITAR by Frank Zappa; AS SERENITY APPROACHES by Marcus Johnson; BACK IN THE USA by Sir Paul McCartney; and especially enjoying BRAINWASHED, the posthumus new George Harrison CD.
Thanks for visiting my website. I hope it answers any questions you may have about me or my work, but if not, feel free to email me; rave reviews always welcome.
